The vitamin C in this product is in the form of sodium ascorbate.  This form of vitamin C has a saltier, less sour taste than ascorbic acid, making it more pleasant to the taste. 

It is also naturally buffered which reduces gastric distress commonly associated with high doses of straight ascorbic acid.  Sodium ascorbate is a potent water-soluble antioxidant, while the bioflavonoids help to maintain capillary integrity and act as antioxidants.

The pleasant tasting powder is easily added to wet or dry food. Use the scoop provided to give this amount, or as recommended by your veterinarian.
